Every once in a while, we get the opportunity to collaborate with some awesome people. Recently, we worked with our friends @Mint Garage to make this customer’s dream a reality. He wanted to transform his garage into a show piece…. and that we did!
The Rockwood Garage Doors team was given the almost impossible job of gaining maximum clearance in the garage while maintaining motorized operation. Normally, that’s not a big deal, but with zero clearance on the sides, there was no standard solution.
We came up with a customized solution: we took a wall mounted Jackshaft opener and mounted them to the ceiling. We then fabricated custom chain and sprocket sets which were connected to the spring torsion shaft. They were tucked in the ceiling and just barely cleared the door as it opened.
